Capturing Stories, Not Just Poses: Joel & Shey Min’s Unique Singapore Pre-Wedding Journey
From Zara Colleagues to Gardens by the Bay: Joel & Shey Min’s Story-Driven Pre-Wedding Shoot
A Journey That Started at Zara Jewel
For Joel and Shey Min, their love story began amidst the bustling aisles of Zara Jewel while working part-time during their school holidays. When it came time for their Singapore pre-wedding photoshoot, they knew they wanted to go back to where it all started.
"It was quite a meaningful thing for us to go back to Zara Jewel to take our photos," Joel shared. By choosing locations with personal significance—including Gardens by the Bay, their go-to date spot thanks to their season passes—their photoshoot became a beautiful "storyboard" of their relationship.
Comfort for Camera-Shy Couples
Like many couples searching for the best pre-wedding photographer in Singapore, Joel and Shey Min were initially worried about feeling awkward.
"Personally, both of us don’t really take photos much," Joel admitted. However, the expert guidance from the Chris Ling Photography team changed everything. From prompt assistance with props to clear direction on posing, the couple felt less like "robots" and more like themselves. Joel’s advice for future couples? "For those who have no experience taking photos, this is a very good place because of the guidance you get."
Radiant Styling & Natural Makeup
Shey Min’s look was crafted by our lead makeup artist, Amber, who focused on a style that was both polished and "homely."
"Amber made sure the makeup suited my style and matched all the outfits we brought," Shey Min explained. "She made sure both of us looked natural and looked like ourselves, which was really nice." This commitment to natural wedding makeup ensures that our brides feel confident without feeling "over-done."
Incorporating Common Interests: The Space Molly
To add a layer of personality, the couple brought along their Space Molly collectible—a shared hobby that represents their common interests. "It’s nice to incorporate the things we like so the photos can tell a story," says Shey Min.
Whether it's a favorite toy, a board game, or a meaningful location, our team at Z Wedding excels at weaving these elements into a creative, professional narrative.
